How to Register a Yak

We welcome all members of The World Heritage Yak Conservancy (WHYC) to register their yak. To Become a Member Login to your Dashboard and click My Membership.

1) Members can Submit Samples for Neogen Testing.

It all begins with testing. Once your results are received we will process and help you interpret the results.

New Genetic Tests.

To submit a sample for testing, click the link below. Mail your form and sample to GeneSeek. Email a copy to the Registrar, Jana Francis. We will notify you when we receive results.

Preexisting Genetic Tests.

If your yak has previously been tested you can submit the Neogen Results to WHYC through your Members Dashboard (see below).

2) Complete Registration by Logging in to Your Dashboard.

To submit new Registrations online it is usually only necessary to Login to your personal Dashboard once. This page will remain open for you to reference and your Dashboard will open in another tab.

i. Click “Register Animals” on the Left-hand Dashboard Menu and enter your information in the form that appears in the main window. Not all Phenotypic questionnaire data is required.

ii. Next upload photos and any prior genetic testing docs for your yak under “Pending Animals” again on the Left-hand Dashboard Menu. Your submitted animals will appear in the main window. Click the pencil to edit and add photos and documents.

iii. Payments can be made safely though PayPal or by Debit or CC under “Cart” at the Top of the page. Your Pending Animals will appear in the Cart and a total will appear at the bottom of the list.
